Sexy Sax.
Joined the band for their practice today, and to my dismay, the should-be-damn-long-condemn-and-get-a-new bass clarinet was sent for repair AGAIN. Disgusting. I really wanted to play the bass clarinet. In the end, decided to play the tenor saxophone as it was already set up. Ha! I refused to go through the troublesome ritual of setting up a clarinet.
I really enjoyed the tenor saxophone. A lot. It is just so... rocking? (Pardon me for my limited use of vocab) The feeling is actually much much nicer than playing the alto saxophone and the bass clarinet. It is obviously because of my preference to low, bassy sound and the fact that tenor saxophone is able to create such rich and sexy resonance.
The best part was when I went for Yuhua and RV alumni concert later in the evening. The two saxophone soloist was simply superb. Especially the alto cum soprano saxophonist. I just love his rich tone and the way he carry out the solo. I thought it was rather unique.
Oh wells, whatever it is, I still love the clarinet. Especially bass clarinet =)) (At least it's lighter than the saxophones... And talking about that, my neck hurts thanks to the tenor sax)
